Henry Runs

I am an RRCA Certified Running Coach (He Huang) and USATF Level 1 Coach. As many people who picked up running late in life, I know it is crucial to have a good running coach. A coach can help novice runner to get on the right track quickly. For experienced runner, we also need a coach to devise a training program according to each runner’s unique physiological and psychological characters, monitor the progress from an objective perspective and modify the training schedule accordingly. Coaching is a highly dynamic ongoing process that cannot be accomplished by the cookie-cutter programs found in the books/magazines, or generated from computer codes. A good running coach honors each runner’s goal and treats each runner as a unique athlete. I am also a big fan of human physiology with several years’ research experience and willing to apply cutting edge science and technology to athletic training.

In the past few years, I have been working with great coaches, including former elite runner John Honerkamp, British Olympian Andrew Lemoncello, Neely Spence Gracey, and Katrina Spratford-Sterling. Their expertise and supports have been benefiting my running tremendously. Without their coaching, I would not be able to be improve consistently and run the times I thought impossible for me. As many dedicated runners, I have experienced injuries in the past. During those tough times, my coaches played an important part in helping me to recover from injuries while maintaining my fitness as much as possible through cross-training.

The new running boom brings a more inclusive community that welcomes athletes of all levels. I am more than happy to share what I have been learning from other coaches/athletes and the experience from my own running with you. Please fill out the initial assessment questionnaire below and send me through the contact form. Please do feel free to contact me anytime. We can always work out a plan that suits exactly what you need!
